Chateau Ste. Michelle Columbia Valley Riesling, USA- VG

Focused and intense with limes, green apples and yellow peach. Riesling is famously high in acidity and this is just as clean and refreshing as one would expect. The palate is light yet concentrated with peach, zesty lemon and lime, apricot and mandarin flavours. It’s aromatic but importantly dry. If you’ve been put off by German Riesling, don’t discount this.

Chateau Ste. Michelle owns 3,500 acres in Washington state's renowned Columbia Valley. The Columbia Valley American Viticulture Area (AVA) is a region separated from Seattle's rainy, marine climate by the Cascade Mountains. The mountains shield the rain, limiting annual rainfall to 6-8 inches, allowing our vineyard managers to control vine vigour through irrigation. All vines in the Columbia Valley are planted on their own rootstock, which helps us maintain the health and longevity of our vineyards and preserves the grape variety in its natural state. Velvety cool-climate Syrah from Washington State, brimming with red and black berries plus an appetising underlay of leather.

San Salvatore Vetere Rosato, Italy – O

A delicately coloured rosé, made from organically grown Aglianico grapes. Here at about 200m above sea level, the grapes ripen slowly in the cooler microclimate, yet benefit from plenty of sunlight due to the vineyard's south-western aspect. Shows ripe red fruits, such as raspberry and cherry on the nose; the palate is soft, again plenty of ripe fruit, with a refreshing finish.

Ayala Brut Majeur, France 

BOTTLE - 55 

Brut Majeur from Ayala is a wonderfully dry and elegant Champagne. Pale gold in the glass, this has a very fine mousse. Delicately aromatic with citrus, blossom and white peach notes, alongside hints of honeysuckle, the palate is fresh and quite dry in style, with apple and peach fruit, alongside notes of hazelnut, and a long balanced finish.
